Dr. Leung is an
active psychometric researcher, art and design educator and design management professional.
He is an Adobe Certified Educator, Committee Member (Technical Advisor) of
UNESCO Observatory for Research in Local Cultures and Creativity in Education
(RLCCE), Member of the Art Directors Club (New York), Design Research Society
(UK), National Council on Measurement in Education (USA) and Psychometric
Society, Subject Specialist (2006-2012) in Hong Kong Council for Accreditation
of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, Chairman of Hong Kong Design
Community (2010-2012), Chief Examiner of Visual Arts and Design of HKDSE SBA
(2012-present), Examiner of IB in Visual Arts (2014-present) and Founder of
Hong Kong Design Directory (www.designdirectory.hk).
Dr Leung was an international jury of A’ Design Awards (Italy). His key
research area is studying "The New construct of Measuring
Creativity", effectiveness and scale development of measuring students’ creativity,
by objective measurement approach (Rasch Theory and Items Response Theory), was
presented in the conference of creativity in the cities included Taiwan, Japan (Tokyo
and Osaka), Shanghai and Hong Kong.
The current study area of Dr. LEUNG mainly
investigating the predictive validity between biometric scales and psychometric
scales in measuring the creativities in the context of arts & design and
education in Rasch/IRT Models.
